Do you want people to slow down as soon as you get behind them? If not, then no.
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

yes, it looks badass. Bonus points if it's black and still has the spotlights.

Yes, because all cars should have pushbars because idiots who can't parallel park right shouldn't be able to cause hundreds of dollars of paint damage by just misjudging a few inches.

They look better, but might make parking a bit harder.

Yes, they look badass, especially if the car is blue like the one pictured.

I was only joking when I suggested this the other day but if you're serious go for it.

No: adverse for performance; makes RWD car more nose-heavy.

I guess I'm just mulling over my options, it seems likely that I'll get a CV as first car *relatively* soon

I honestly see no downside to getting a bar. It looks badass, it commands authority and most importantly it is a vital anti zombie component so you're already to go if shit goes wrong.

the only cons I see are:
-nose heavy (mpg+performance)
-parking an already huge car
-you (might) have to chop up your bumper to do it

YES! 100x yes. When I went through my obligatory, "I want a P71" phase, it HAD to have the bumper bar AND spotlight. Because coolness. I think the vic is so visually appealing because of its mean looks and the bar only helps.

to answer the first part of your question, yes. As for why, because.

No. I though my DD was kaput when I was thinking about a CV, but I got a second opinion, and $300 later my car was good as new. Having a good mechanic around even when you think you know what you're doing is extremely important.

I drove a P71 for two years. No push bar. Didn't matter - people STILL thought I was a cop.

Maybe he doesn't need to parallel park :)

I like how concerned people are about weight with a car that weighs over 4000 pounds, Personally no because it makes you look like a cop but it the car's already black or white or both or if it has the black grille I will be slowing down anyway so at that point just keep it.
